Dropped into Best Buy today to look around and saw a Compaq 17″ monster laptop with 3 gig of ram and dual core Intel cpu for a mere $799… also saw an Acer desktop machine with a quad core Intel cpu, 6 (!) gig of ram, and a 750 gig hd for under a grand with 64 bit Vista – the only way it would support 6 gig of ram 
This all makes me want to get a more powerful machine together. Soon… soon…
