I am stuck waiting…  I want to build a new PC.  It’s pretty specialized as I needed something ‘relatively’ small, yet be capable of housing top end parts – specifically a really good CPU and full-length video card.  It also has to have excellent airflow as these sorts of things get really warm.  I found the case I will use, but the most important part isn’t available for sale yet.  The motherboard.  This is what everything else plugs into.  The problem is, I want the best speed for video, and so i’m waiting on the imminent release of Intel’s new P43 and P45 based boards.  They say they will start to appear in July, but we all know how long it takes for the bugs to get ironed out and all after a new release.  The other requirement is that it has to be a MicroATX format board.  This makes it more challenging since there will be less of these as they tend to only be produced for portable specialized gamers rigs, or multimedia centres.  Here’s hoping I get it all together.  I have several projects on hold until then.
