Ok… I’m all for taking cool concepts and making movies out of them – but Asteroids!?  It has NO plot and no characters.  You zip around and shoot rocks.  A saucer comes out randomly and takes a pot shot at you.  That’s it!

And yet, four major Hollywood studios were in a bidding war to be the one to produce and release this seeming travesty.

Universal Pictures will be the lucky ones to do so. Someone there must be doing some interesting drugs since they are also working on film renditions of boardgames Candy Land and Battleship.  You sank my Battleship… Gee… Didn’t we already do this?  I cannot wait for the *cough* surprise ending.
