So lets see what i’ve missed thats newsworthy in Apple land…
- Snow Leopard (OSX 10.6) was released early. This was both good and bad as some 3rd party developers had planned for the later date. This means some 3rd party software is not working at all and so people are missing some applications. Snow Leopard has no support for the non-Intel macs so there will likely be many machines up for sale.
- Snow Leopard has been successfully hackintoshed but it’s still touchy due to drivers.
- Snow Leopard ships with an old Adobe FLASH plugin. If you are using Snow Leopard, immediately go and update now. There are noted security issues running the older one.
- Adobe has announced that they won’t be offering any support/upgrades to CreativeStudio3 (CS3) for Snow Leopard. Buy CS4 or get left behind. *fun*
- Apple will be announcing some things in September 9th. Rumours abound from dumping the imacs entirely, to the much wished for iTablet, to upgrades of the ipod line, to a ipod touch with camera and microphone.
- There seem to be some people pressing too hard (read: crushing) iphones, with subsequent batteries catching fire.
